The House

The house, with it's much sought-after private on-site parking for 2/3 cars is situated on the corner of Cross Street and picturesque Barry's Lane. It is in the heart of the old town up a gently climbing hill and enjoys a quiet situation just a couple of minutes away from the harbour.

Just around the corner is a small supermarket. Together with numerous small shops, banks, pubs, cinema (peak seasons only) and lovely places to eat including Rick Stein’s various establishments. Padstow really has everything to offer the holidaymaker! There is a Tesco supermarket at the entrance to the town. |
No. 1 - a real home - has an excellent standard of accommodation and equipment that has been inspected by the Cornwall Tourist Board (3 star). The sunny off-street parking area (for 2/3 cars) has a garden bench and washing line. As you enter the house there is a cloakroom with loo, washing machine and tumble dryer. The snug has a coal-effect electric fire, comfortable sofa, 2 armchairs, TV, video and DVD: leading off this, via its own open staircase, is a wonderfully bright double bedroom with ensuite shower room and loo. |
The snug leads onto the main hall with access to a further loo, brand new fitted kitchen (gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, gas CH/HW boiler, utensils and crockery for up to 10 people) and the main sitting room. This is furnished with simple antiques, including a table seating up to 10, a large sofa, a couple of armchairs and a coal-effect gas fire, making it an excellent place in which to relax. |

The staircase from the main hall leads up to the main bathroom (bath with shower, loo, basin and heated towel rail) and 4 further bedrooms: - a double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and one bunk bedroom. Each has a small basin, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Also provided are a telephone (billed separately), radio-CD-cassette player and stairgates. (Please note that the open staircase from the snug is not suitable for very young children). |
